As you’ll pretty much have gathered by now if you’ve been following us for a while, here at Yellow Tuxedo we are HUGE advocates of creating macro content that will massively help you with your marketing efforts. Podcasting is a growing trend and especially during this lockdown period its been so encouraging to see more and more small businesses utilising audio as a bonafide way of marketing their business and connecting with a wider audience.

In todays video, brought to you by Alan, we want to show you a simple way of getting started by using Zoom for podcasting. Its a simple approach that means that even if you don’t have all of the fancy recording equipment at this stage you can certainly start to make waves by getting your voice out there.

WHY USE ZOOM TO RECORD YOUR PODCAST?

First and foremost, Zoom is a free piece of software that you can use to record for meetings of under 3 people. This means its perfect for a 1:1 interview if you are looking to bring in guests for your podcast episode.

Zoom is also a go to piece of software when it comes to its above average audio quality. It gives you the ability to play with your audio settings and customise it to your exact specifications.

REPURPOSING YOUR CONTENT FOR VIDEO

We have written this before in our previous blog on “how to record a video and a podcast at the same time”

but the benefit of recording your podcast in this way is that you can film your video content at exactly the same time, therefore creating a video perfect for YouTube as well as an audio file to upload onto your podcasting platform. Its great practice to be able to repurpose your content to sit on different platforms.
