Beyond the Grind: How an Online Business Ecosystem Gives Small Business Owners Time Back (For family time!)
Full Moons, Time Back & The Magic of an Online Business Ecosystem
All families (we presume!) have those little things they do.
Here at Braithwaite Towers, we’re utterly fascinated by the full moon. The Super Harvest Moon in October, however, felt a little different. It was the first time Lydia-Rose had asked to see it so she could charge her crystals. And, of course, we did. We headed up and watched the gorgeous sunset, then enjoyed the lure of the full moon. đ
As a quick full moon side note, not sure about you, but full moons hit our home hard! Middle child Ben, who literally never wakes up in the night, always starts stirring repeatedly as a full moon approaches. And as for the kids fighting?! Erm⊠tenfold⊠Give us strength! đ€Šââïž
Connecting the gorgeous Full Moon to You and your Business Journey
All this unexpected ‘full moon energy’ got us thinking about our own business adventures, and perhaps yours tooâŠ
- How many of us started our businesses aiming to work solidly, grow it, and perhaps eventually sell it?
- Or did you start your business as a lifestyle business, one that would support your life, allowing you the choice you want, but perhaps youâve ended up âworkingâ way more hours than youâd actually like?
Especially when you add in every blimmin’ hat you have to wear as a small business owner!
Now, be honest: would you like a little bit more time back for yourself? We certainly wouldâŠ
And, of course, weâd spend that time going on adventures like full moon visits and exciting trips away. Remember, #AdventuresNeedNotBeComplicated; theyâre about a change and a feeling. You could drive a new route on a regular commute and get that adventure feeling. Or even, on Sunday we visited new woods near us and discovered the best sweet chestnut haul EVERâŠ
That certainly ticked the adventure box for us! (And as long as you don’t spend your free time sending us more bloody bears, we’re happy⊠đ§žđ€Šââïž)
The Seamless Transition to Online Visibility đ„
Now, onto online visibility⊠(Honestly, we never thought we could take you from a full moon, through to adventures and onto online visibility so seamlessly! Thanks for sticking with us. đ€Ł)
This week, I was chatting to my long-time business compadre and đȘThe Digital Circus Circus Performer, Ricky Locke. And Ricky uttered those immortal words we absolutely love to hear:
âI just keep getting enquiries through my website now, I hardly need to do any proactive marketing, I rarely post about it on the socials and it gives me so much time back.â
Firstly⊠YES, yes & YES! Secondly, there are some key parts here, and it all comes back to the word AND that we mentioned a few weeks back.
The Power of Your Online Ecosystem
Ricky’s website sits at the heart of his online business ecosystem. And, crucially, heâs spent time creating, building, and nurturing this ecosystem. He didn’t do it all in one week; itâs a strategic process. Over the years, as his business has progressed, heâs made sure that everything connects and works together.
His ecosystem includes:
- Video Content: Engaging and educational.
- Blogs: Providing valuable, evergreen insights.
- Collaborative Partners: Expanding reach and credibility.
- Email Marketing: Nurturing relationships and guiding journeys.
- WhatsApp Messages: For direct, personal connection.
- Social Media: For engagement and driving traffic.
And so much more, all seamlessly working together. When your ecosystem, as it grows, takes over, it makes sweet, beautiful music, consistently bringing in enquiries and giving you back precious time.
Real-Life Examples: Solopreneurs Getting Time Back
We’ve had a couple of other conversations like this recently:
- Callie was telling us that most of her leads now come organically, meaning she doesnât know what to post on the socials AND can spend time enjoying networking⊠đ€Ł
- Nikie was telling us that usually all of her Lego course bookings come from LinkedIn, but now theyâre coming organically via her website AND LinkedIn.
All of these examples ultimately give these small business owners more time back â time they can spend living their lives, enjoying those #AdventuresNeedNotBeComplicated moments, or simply focusing on the strategic growth of their business.
The Work You’re Already Doing (But Doing it Right!)
However, thereâs a vital caveat: you have to do the work. But hereâs the good news: youâre already doing some work. The key is to make sure youâre doing the right things. Itâs about building those foundational pieces and connecting them in a way that creates a self-sustaining, lead-generating system.
This holistic approach to online visibility means:
- Every Effort Counts: No more wasted energy on disconnected marketing activities.
- Sustainable Growth: Moving beyond frantic, reactive marketing to a proactive, organic lead flow.
- More Time for You: The ultimate goal for many solopreneurs and lifestyle business owners.
Ready for Your Own Sweet Music?
Honestly, we know this was a long one, so truly thanks for sticking with us. đ
We believe passionately that your online presence should work for you, not become another thing that drains your time and energy. It’s about building a robust online business ecosystem that supports your life and your adventures.
If you fancy a chat about any of our events or trips coming up (Morocco, Pen y Fan & Emily’s Retreat), or if you want to get some time back like Nikie, Ricky & Callie and get your online ecosystem making sweet music, then just book in a virtual cuppa. We can start with a fabulous ‘Hello’ and then chat about how to get your online presence working extremely blimmin’ hard for you.
Right⊠Letâs all do this⊠We all have lives to liveâŠ
Thanks for reading and have fun always…. Alan
