This week over on our social media platforms we’ve been talking all about the importance of creating and nurturing an authentic, engaged audience. For lots of us we spend so much time creating stunning visual content that actually forget that social media is a two way street. We need to remember to talk to our audience!! And there is no better way to do that on Instagram stories. In this weeks Yellow Tuxedo “How to” video we’re going to show you how to create engaging instagram stories that are designed to promote sharing and meaningful conversations..
Obviously the video goes into lots of depth about how we can create amazing insta stories however to get you started here are a few of our top tips…
1. Be consistent. It doesnt matter whatever anyone says about the algorithm, and what you “should” do, if you’re always chasing the latest update you’ll end up fatigued. Concentrate on being consistent and regular when talking to your audience.
2. Play around with all of the varying types of story styles available, live, normal, boomerang etc and review which ones work best with your viewers.
3. Keep your videos short. Leave longer videos for IGTV to help with audience retention.
4. Use all of the sticker functions!!! For any standard story be sure to include, a hashtag sticker, location, mentions, and an image or gif.
5. Don’t be afraid to use the questions, polls, quizes and slider stickers to promote genuine conversation that will help you to shape future content for your channel.
