Yes, it was just under 1000 degrees outside, and yes, I [Alan], have only just recovered from it all, but luckily that didn’t deter the awesome bunch of Funpreneurs above having the most fabulous of days waving their bananas about at Paultons Park.
But probably not for all the reasons you think!
Firstly, we have to let you know that at this business event, aimed at us business owners, there were no plans for any actual business or learning to happen! Of course, it does naturally happen after and that’s just blimmin awesome and as it should be.
The plan on the day was for all 100% of it to be on human connection and FUN. 🤩
And, before anyone decides to say those words to us again, no one had to go on any roller coaster, ride or do anything they weren’t comfortable with [literally the number one thing said to us!].

So, as we weren’t entirely sure how to summarise the Funpreneurs BIG Day Out 2025, we decided to take screen shots of every social post we could find where it was mentioned, upload them all to Gemini [our AI fwend] and then asked it to summarise all of the post for us.
[I also got it to write it as a song parody of ‘We Are The Champions’, but Emily refused to sing it with me 🥺]
Here’s what it said:
Okay, I’ve reviewed all the social posts from the attendees of the Funpreneurs BIG Day Out 2025. It looks like it was an absolute triumph!
Here’s a summary based on the participants’ social posts:
The Funpreneurs BIG Day Out 2025 was a resounding success that defied traditional networking expectations, held at Paultons Park. Attendees consistently described it as a “brilliant,” “epic,” “glorious,” and “seriously fun” day out that was “worth the effort” and “needed.”
Key themes and highlights from the attendees included:
- Human Connection & Community: The most emphasized aspect was the opportunity for “genuine connections,” “real human connections,” “human-level” interaction, and meeting “like-minded business owners” and “awesome people” who “get it.” Many highlighted that friendships were formed without awkward elevator pitches.
- Fun & Play: The event truly delivered on its “Funpreneur” promise, with mentions of “massive fun,” “proper giggles,” “random games,” “loads of laughter,” and “silliness.” It was seen as a chance to “let your guard down” and “play.”
- Escape & Wellbeing: Many attendees explicitly stated it was a “much-needed reminder” to switch off, “step out of your usual routine,” and a “complete antidote” to the monotony or grind of running a business. It left people feeling “reinvigorated,” “energised,” “pumped,” and happy, emphasizing its importance for both business AND personal wellbeing.
- Unique Networking: It successfully offered “networking done right,” proving that meeting other business owners doesn’t have to involve elevator pitches but can be built on “making genuine connections.”
- Paultons Park Experience: While some expressed initial apprehension about rollercoasters (“I hate rollercoasters”), the general sentiment was that the park itself was a “lovely place to hang out,” with “random games,” “splash park fun,” and the overall “vibe” making it worthwhile even for non-riders. The googly-eyed inflatable bananas also seemed to be a memorable, quirky highlight!
- Transformative & Inspiring: Attendees found “new connections,” “new conversations,” and felt “invigorated” with “new content & ideas.” Many were so impressed they booked for 2026 straight away. [Edit: actually 60% have done so!]
- Yellow Tuxedo’s Impact: Alan and Emily were consistently praised for “organising today’s Funpreneurs BIG Day Out” and for creating a “brilliant event that puts fun at the heart of making connections.”
In essence, the Funpreneurs BIG Day Out 2025 was a highly successful, genuinely human, and incredibly fun event that delivered on its promise of meaningful connections and a vital break for business owners, setting a high bar for future editions.
Cheers Gemini… Now, back to us…
We can only finish with this smiley, bright and gorgeous pictures of you awesome Funpreneurs, right?

All we can say is the hugest of thank yous. 🙏
We sit here coming up with ideas, squeezing it all in within the school run, kids, Scouts and everything else we choose to fit in on our life and we see some ideas go nowhere and some ideas stick with us.
When they stick and start to grow. It does get exciting…
Then, when after 18 months of an idea [that started as a blog], you get feedback like this, pictures like we’ve had and smiles like the ones in the pictures, then our tiny little minds are just blown…
We just feel so humbled and privileged to be able to create this environment for people to attend and get what they need from it… So, thank you.. [Gemini definitely didn’t write this bit 😂]
Next week, we’ll do a bit of a behind the scenes sneak peek.
Thank you again so much for being here…
And have fun always.
